Meet the Team: Srishti Tyagi
CUNY CREST is pleased to welcome Srishti Tyagi as its new Communication and Outreach Manager. Ms. Tyagi joined the institute full-time on April 1, 2023.
Ms. Tyagi received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Delhi University in 2016 and Master of Science in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from New York University in 2020.
Ms. Tyagi specializes in transformational storytelling and branding. She is trained in integrating innovative communication into building brand purpose and producing measurable marketing strategies. Her background in English and experience as an author and content strategist assist her in utilizing her skill set, writing into humanizing corporations.
In her role at CUNY CREST, Ms. Tyagi will lead the institute’s communication and public relations efforts with an aim to actively engage its diverse stakeholders, disseminate important information related to the institute and highlight its achievements through various digital and non-digital mediums. She will also contribute in other capacities to support the institute’s operations.
Previously, for over two years, Ms. Tyagi served as the Communication and Outreach Manager for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Center for Earth System Sciences and Remote Sensing Technologies (NOAA CESSRST) & NOAA CESSRST II. During her tenure, she successfully launched various well-received communication initiatives such as CESSRST Weekly Digest and CESSRST Quarterly Highlights. She significantly contributed to the Center’s recruitment and outreach strategies, provided content and editorial support on key reporting requirements, created and executed promotional strategies for Center events, managed social media, and supported the Associate/Deputy Director and the Director in their day-to-day communication.
Ms. Tyagi is the author of Finding My Special Place. Written in an epistolary format, the book explores the sensitive and impressionable minds of teenagers, their emotional, physical and mental contradictions, the underlying currents in their relationships, and the myriad expectations during their journey to adulthood.
Ms. Tyagi’s expertise includes brand strategy, content development & management, social media management, APA style writing, corporate storytelling, media relations, strategic communication, relationship building, reputation management, digital marketing, web analytics, public relations, and crisis communication.
