Dr. Maria Tzortziou, Professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Science at CCNY and Director of the Research and Application Pillar at CUNY CREST is amongst the 18 experts appointed by the White House to its newly formed Ocean Research Advisory Panel (ORAP). The ORAP is tasked to provide the Ocean Policy Committee of the National Oceanographic Partnership Program with independent scientific advice and recommendations on national oceanographic matters.
