Course Description 

Introduction to Probability Theory and Statistics will be provided. Cumulative distribution functions of discrete and continuous random variables will be described. Examples of calculations using Wolfram Mathematica software will be utilized as a demonstrative part of this course. Students will learn basic built-in functions of Wolfram Mathematica to plot and process data on personal computers.

  2. Elements of Probability.
  3. Probability Mass Function and Probability Density Function.
  4. Special Random Variables and their Distributions.
  5. Wolfram Mathematica as a tool for calculations.
  6. Build-in functions of Wolfram Mathematica.
  7. Plot graphs by using Wolfram Mathematica.
  8. Build-in function “Manipulate”.
  9. Import and Export of data.
  10. Online version Wolfram Mathematica.
