Our History

In June 2010, the CUNY CREST Institute was officially approved by the City University of New York Board of Trustees. Later that year, on November 29, 2010, the Institute was inaugurated by Dr. Larry Robinson, then Assistant U.S. Secretary of Commerce for Coastal Conservation and Management, together with Dr. Lisa Staiano-Coico, then President of The City College of New York.
