
Stephanie Schieffer
Dr. Stephanie Schieffer is a Staff Consultant, BAE Systems, Space & Mission Systems. She is a technical innovator in remote sensing instrumentation development, calibration strategies, and space-based sensor technologies. She is currently a Staff Consultant at BAE Systems, Space and Mission Systems and is performance lead for NASA/NOAA’s Atmospheric Composition instrument (ACX) and a calibration consultant for the GeoXO Sounder (GXS) and the GeoXO Ocean Color (OCX) instruments. As a scientist at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Dr. Schieffer established the Department of Defense’s premier facility for hyperspectral sensor characterization. She is a dedicated advocate for education and mentorship, having mentored numerous engineers and students throughout her career.
Dr. Schieffer holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies & German from the Johnston Center at the University of Redlands, California.
