Hoeyun Kwon
Dr. Kwon is a geographer and spatial data scientist who studies human-environment interactions using spatiotemporal data analytics. Specifically, she is committed to addressing social and environmental inequalities in human behavioral responses to disasters and health crises. She is also passionate about developing and applying methods to analyze large geospatial data to better understand the dynamics of human-environment interactions.
Dr. Kwon is currently an Assistant Professor of Geographic Information Science (GISc) in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Geospatial Sciences at Lehman College, CUNY. Before joining CUNY, she was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Institute of Behavioral Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. She received her Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Iowa in 2023.
