Ana Mejia Manrique

Student

Ana's research focuses on developing high-resolution inland flooding risk maps for Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This involves creating updated Depth-Duration-Frequency (DDF) curves to improve design rainfall estimates, which are essential for hydrological modeling. By integrating key environmental factors such as soil properties, land use, and topography, the study aims to enhance flood risk assessment. The end product will be a comprehensive flood mapping to identify vulnerable areas and support effective mitigation strategies.
