1. Invitations and Alliance:  The pillar plans to engage the Department of Education (DOE) to develop AI and Robotics training opportunities for faculty, while also pursuing workshops and grants through the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to support the development of new trainers. In addition, we plan to assess the training and workshop needs of the NYC Parks Department and explore collaboration opportunities with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to strengthen engagement and expand our impact.
  2. Workshop Planning: The pillar plans to design and deliver workshops focused on GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, and Engineering. To maximize their impact, it will collaborate with the Department of Education (DOE) and additional partners, ensuring that these workshops are accessible, relevant, and aligned with broader educational and community needs.
  3. Certification Modules: The pillar plans to develop certification modules in GIS, Remote Sensing, and Arduino to provide students with practical and industry-relevant skills. In addition, it will identify and design further modules that draw upon the expertise within the ET Pillar, ensuring that the program remains flexible, responsive, and aligned with emerging technologies and workforce needs.
