Co-Director of the International Collaborations Pillar and Associate Director of the Education & Training Pillar, CUNY CREST, Dr. Neal Phillip and Associate Co-Director of international Collaboration Pillar, CUNY CREST, Paramita Sen contribute towards the Bronx Community College (BCC) receiving a $1 million Green Action Sustainability Grant.
BCC was selected as the winner of the inaugural Bronx Green Action Challenge sponsored by the Bronx Economic Development Corporation (BXEDC). As a result of the same, BCC will receive a $1 million award funded by the New York Power Authority to work on the college’s sustainability. Through this award, BCC aims to launch the BCC Sustainability Hub (BCCSH) to address the environmental issues on the campus as well as create a green workforce training program for the students. These impactful changes will help BCC become more environmentally sustainable.
Dr. Neal Phillip and Paramita Sen along with their colleagues Olaitan Femi-Falade, and Emily Marino played a visionary role in helping BCC win the challenge and receive the grant.
